Southern Chartered Accountants Student Society (SCASS) is run by students for students; the committee is made up of a group of chartered students just like yourself, who meet up once a month to discuss any matters or issues that affect local chartered students. SCASS also works hard to arrange a variety of social events for members,
SCASS has four key objectives:
- to provide support to students on all matters relating to their study and professional development, and on any other issues which affect them as provisional members and students of the ICAEW;
- to arrange professional, cultural, social and sporting events for students;
- to represent our students and to act as a channel of communication between SCASS members and SOSCA (our local district society), the ICAEW Student Council (ISC) and the Institute;
- to promote ACA training; membership and participation in the activities of SOSCA; the ICAEW and the accountancy profession generally.
